Observe the biodiversity of the birds and wildlife thriving among the marshes and maritime forest, or capture the uninterrupted views of the historic Currituck Sound with a camera or paintbrush. The Donal C. O’Brien, Jr. Sanctuary is a unique and exciting place to organize a group visit for board retreats, photography groups, university classes and more.
Groups are invited to experience the wonder and pristine beauty of the Audubon Sanctuary and enjoy the last untouched region of the northern Outer Banks. The Audubon staff can help organize a trip that provides the perfect accommodations to satisfy every group. We offer overnight stays in the historic hunt lodge, and can provide a naturalist to guide a tour of the grounds and biodiversity found here.
To learn more about group visits, pricing and availability, please contact Center Director Robbie Fearn at rfearn@audubon.org or 252.453.0603. Day or overnight visits are available.
