Sunset reflects upon the Pine Island Lodge
Nestled within the 2600 acre sanctuary is a 40 acre campus of buildings that surround the oldest standing traditional hunt club in Currituck County, NC. The 1913 Lodge sleeps 16. There are also three '70s era cottages, an old guides cottage, boat docks and garages. We are renovating existing buildings and adding a gathering pavillion, a dining/meeting hall and a science workshop.
Birdlife plays a key role in the history of Pine Island and the entire Currituck Sound region.
The Sanctuary in Corolla works to maintain a balance between conservation and hunting regulations.
